From Mother too son

Yesterday in class we read the poem Mother To Son by Langston Hughes. I enjoyed reading this. Most of all I enjoyed annotating this poem because I had read it and annotated it last year in my American lit class. It is very interesting to see what a different teacher and different class can pull out of the same poem. The metaphor crystal stair was a controversial topics and everyone had different opinions about it last year and this year.

Substitute

 Today we had a sub in class and worked on a sheet given by Mr. Reads. This sheet was boring and I did not enjoy it. I figure there is not a lot of things you can do when you are not there to teach the class and are required to give a grade by the school board. It is what it is and Mr. Rease will be back tomorrow so we can read our play like normal
